It is 10 years after the Second Day of Thunder. The Thunders of the Great Clans have failed, and the Dark God Fu Leng now rules the Empire. His Obsidian Legions hold sway with the legions of the Shadowland. The saviors of Rokugan must now eke out a minor existence on the newly reclaimed Isles of Silk and Spice. Those that fight, die, those that submit must live with the knowledge that they too will die someday, though, less honorably.

You are a newly appointed group under the command of the Last Crane, Daidoji Uji. It is your task to ferret out evil and start to bring control back to the Isles and someday, the mainland.
